Vision Quest

July 8 @ 1:00 pm - July 10 @ 7:00 pm MDT

| $375

Immerse yourself in nature and connect with Spirit during a 3-day vision quest retreat. The gently guided vision quest will help you open into a deeper understanding of your purpose and your place in the universe.

The vision quest will take place on 55 acres of mountain land in Evergreen, Colorado. You will begin and end in sacred ceremony at Ewassa, a 15-acre private property adjacent to a private 40-acre Denver Mountain Park. Participants are free to explore the land throughout their vision quest.

Vision Quest Format

How to Prepare for the Vision Quest

In the week prior to the vision quest please plan to reduce your caloric intake and try to avoid all processed grains, sugars, fried foods and heavy meats. Reduce your exposure to the news, TV and social media, limiting your screen time as much as possible. Instead, take time to reflect, journal and meditate, beginning to call in a deeper connection to Spirit.

Please leave all perfumes, jewelry, make-up, indulgences and scented personal care products at home. You are more likely to observe animals in their natural habitats if you can blend into the forest. This is an encounter of your soul with Spirit. Arrive in as natural a state as possible, with comfortable clothes of subdued colors.

Please bring:

  • Journal and pen or pencil
  • Sleeping bag and pillow
  • Sleeping pad (optional)
  • Layers for the cold
  • Flashlight
  • Water bottle
  • Comfortable shoes
  • Sun hat (optional)
  • Small bag or daypack (sleeping materials can be left in tipi during the day)

  • Many vision quests are done in full fasting, but this can be exceedingly challenging for many in modern society or with metabolic issues. We will instead be offering reduced caloric intake with 100% organic fruits, vegetables, nuts and legumes, to be eaten in silence with gratitude and mindfulness.
  • You will be asked to turn off your phone and leave it in your car for the duration of the vision quest (no electronics allowed). Family or friends can call Liz to reach you in case of emergency.

Disclaimer

There are wild animals in this area including bears, mountain lions, bobcats and packs of coyotes. There are also cliffs, rough terrain, fallen trees and uneven paths. This is wild terrain with small paths (unlike JeffCo or State Parks). Participants must be aware of their surroundings at all times and take care while out in nature. Each participant will be required to sign a waiver assuming complete responsibility for their decision to participate in the vision quest, and releasing Ewassa from any liability in case of accident or injury.
