Elemental shamanism offers a different way of perceiving and tending to the world around us to live in harmony with ourselves, our loved ones, and our environment.
Drawing on ancient shamanic wisdom, practices, and guiding values from Peru and Brazil, this course offers a pragmatic approach to balanced and healthy living amidst the chaos of the modern world.
What Is Shamanic Living?
Shamanic living involves cultivating a sense of inner balance, responsibility to the world around us, conscious daily choices, and listening to the wisdom and knowing that already lives within us.
Learn to incorporate ritual, ceremony, celebration, and expressions of beauty and appreciation into your life, to strengthen the flow of positive life force energy within and around you.
Bring more love and care to your self, your family, friends, and community, and the broader world around you. Build relationships with the river, the forest, the ocean, the animals and the birds, the wind moving through the trees – knowing that these beings are your teachers and allies – and that you are deeply connected to all of life in its myriad forms.
*******
This course is designed to offer you a solid foundation for harmonious shamanic living, and is a prerequisite for our elemental shamanic practitioner training that will be offered later this year. All are welcome to take this course, regardless of whether or not you are interested in continuing on to the shamanic practitioner training.
Course Topics
This six-week shamanic living course is structured around the following themes that are key to balanced living:
Daily practices to cultivate inner balance and self-awareness
The flow of beneficial energy and wisdom in nature and how to work with it
How to maintain healthy human relationships
The role of caretaker – self, family, community, environment
Inviting your higher self and inner wisdom to take the lead
By the end of the course you will have developed healthy daily practices and refined your parameters for balanced living. You’ll experience the impact of rituals and offerings on your energy and relationships, and your connection to your inner wisdom will be stronger and more clear.
Course Format
This live course will meet via Zoom on Fridays from 12 – 1:30pm Mountain Time, for six weeks, from February 20 through March 27, 2026. All live classes will be recorded and posted in the online portal along with links to additional resources for those who wish to explore topics further.
We encourage all participants to be present at as many live classes as possible, as there will be time for Q&A toward the end of each class and the discussions are likely to be quite enriching – we love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
If you’re unable to make the live classes, however, it is possible to follow the course entirely through the recordings and online resources.
